Lesotho Music Awards (LMA) Registration Terms and Conditions
By registering for the Lesotho Music Awards (LMA), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility
- Participants must be citizens or legal residents of Lesotho.
- Artists must have released music within the qualifying period specified by the LMA.
- Only original works will be accepted for registration; submissions containing plagiarized or unlicensed content will be disqualified.
2. Registration Process
- All participants must complete the registration form available on the LMA official website or via designated platforms.
- The registration form must include accurate and up-to-date information about the artist(s) or band(s), including contact details, music genre, and submitted work details.
- Registration is free of charge to complete the process.
- Registration will only be confirmed once the steps are followed through, and a confirmation email is received by the artist or their representative.
3. Submission of Work
- Artists must submit their music through the approved submission portals indicated during registration.
- All submitted works must adhere to the technical and quality standards outlined by the LMA, including file formats and size requirements.
- The LMA is not responsible for any lost, late, or incomplete submissions due to technical failures or issues beyond its control.
4. Categories and Judging
- Participants will be placed into appropriate award categories based on the genre and nature of their submissions.
- The LMA reserves the right to reassign submissions to different categories if deemed necessary by the selection committee.
- The judging process will be conducted by a panel of industry professionals selected by the LMA. Decisions of the judges are final and cannot be appealed.
5. Public Voting
- Certain categories may involve public voting. Instructions for public voting will be provided on the LMA website.
- Manipulation or misuse of the voting system by participants or fans will result in disqualification from the competition.
6. Intellectual Property
- By registering for the LMAs, artists grant the LMA non-exclusive rights to use their submitted works for promotional purposes related to the awards (e.g., event marketing, online streaming, or media coverage).
- All original copyrights and ownership remain with the artist or the submitting entity.
7. Media and Publicity
- By participating in the LMAs, artists agree to participate in interviews, promotional events, and media coverage as requested by the LMA organizers.
- LMA reserves the right to use artist names, likenesses, and submitted materials for event promotion without additional compensation.
8. Code of Conduct
- All participants are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the awards process, including interactions with organizers, media, and fellow participants.
- Any misconduct or violation of these terms may lead to disqualification and exclusion from future events.
9. Disqualification
- LMA reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these terms and conditions or fails to comply with the competition's requirements.
10. Liability
- The LMA is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained by participants during the event or as a result of participation in the competition.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with all relevant copyright, intellectual property, and privacy laws.
11. Amendments
- LMA reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated on the official LMA website and via email to registered participants.
By registering for the Lesotho Music Awards, participants acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in disqualification or other penalties as determined by the LMA organizing committee.
